Habitat for Humanity Lake-Sumter Holds Wall-Raising Ceremony

HabLS Vet VlgVeterans Village starts construction in Umatilla

Habitat for Humanity Lake-Sumter held a groundbreaking last week on Veterans Village, a neighborhood off of U.S. Highway 19 in Umatilla. Community groups and volunteers worked together to raise a wall on the first home in this Umatilla neighborhood. Consisting of 14 Habitat homes, the complex will focus on providing affordable housing for veterans and military families.

Florida Community Loan Fund, FCLF, provided financing for Veterans Village through a line of credit. FCLF’s Cindy Ross, Community Development Loan Officer, was part of the wall-raising ceremony.
