The Florida community development industry lost a well-known and much loved leader earlier this week with the passing of Gregg Schwartz, President and CEO of Tampa Bay CDC. Our thoughts go out to his family, colleagues, and all who knew him.

gschwartz-inmemoryof-200x250Gregg’s Family has just completed making the arrangements for his Funeral Service, and we at Tampa Bay CDC wanted to share the details of the Service with the many Friends and Colleagues that we know want to pay their final respects to our esteemed President and to one of our State’s true Housing Pioneers.

There will be a viewing on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, which is located at 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, Florida   33759.  (Phone Number: 727-796-1992). 

The Funeral will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 3:00.  It will be held at St. Cecelia Catholic Church, 820 Jasmine Way, Clearwater, Florida   33756.  (Phone Number: 727-447-3494).

Many of you have asked how you can send your condolences to the Family.  Feel free to send cards or notes to our office (2139 N.E. Coachman Road, Suite 1, Clearwater, Florida   33765).  We will be sure the Family receives them.  You can also visit www.sylvanabbey.com to leave your thoughts in the online Guest Book. We know that all of you are as shocked at this tragic loss as we are, and we appreciate all the people who have reached out to the CDC Team to offer your support, prayers and assistance during this difficult time.   We will honor Gregg by moving forward and keeping the legacy he built alive and well.  He would expect nothing less from us!
