Lofts on 6th hardhats at groundbreakingGreen Mills Group and The Pantry of Broward, Inc., marked the beginning of a transformative new chapter for Broward County by breaking ground on Lofts on 6th.

Located in the Historic Sistrunk District, Lofts on 6th will bring 90 high quality affordable apartments for seniors earning up to 80% of the area median income (AMI), two levels of amenities, and a modernized home for The Pantry of Broward’s operations. Once complete, the new development will include state-of-the-art offices and warehouse space that will strengthen The Pantry’s ability to serve older residents and grandfamilies across the community.

Lofts on 6th was born out of the partnership formed between The Pantry of Broward and Green Mills, bringing together development expertise and a community-centered mission to respond to an urgent local need. Since then, dozens of supporters across the private and government sectors – including Florida Community Loan Fund, a proud financing partner – have stepped up to be a part of the shared vision.

The project represents more than a building; it reflects what is possible when mission-driven organizations align to respond to community needs with vision, purpose, and partnership.
