CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse) recently held a Steel Signing Celebration. Partners on the project, including Florida Community Loan Fund, were invited to place their signature and make a permanent mark on the final steel beam for the domestic violence shelter. The beam was then hoised to its place on the second floor of the new facility.
The new shelter will triple the capacity of the shelter for survivors of domestic violence to 100 beds. Financing is provided using the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) Program, with FCLF as a tax credit provider.
