On August 3, Central Florida Health Care opened its new healthcare center in Lake Wales. This is the 12th clinical site for CFHC, and offers an array of healthcare services, including primary care, pediatrics, dentistry, lab, x-ray, and full service pharmacy.
CFHC serves over 98,000 low-income patients every year through their network of centers. In many areas CFHC is the only low-income healthcare provide in the city. The services are offered on a sliding scale for the underinsured, and new patients are always welcome.
Florida Community Loan Fund recently partnered with Central Florida Health Care on a 4-location financing transaction using the New Markets Tax Credit program. Financing through the NMTC program allowed CFHC to expand and/or renovate 4 locations simultaneously. The new Lake Wales center is one of these locations.
