Evara Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center providing a full array of healthcare services in Pinellas County for over 40 years, opened the Evara Health Institute, located in Clearwater, in February 2025. The Institute is a medical training campus designed to help with staff shortage in the healthcare industry. Evara Health Institute empowers individuals with accessible, affordable, and high quality healthcare training.
With financing through the Florida Community Loan Fund and the New Markets Tax Credit program, Evara Health renovated an existing building and constructed this new companion building in Clearwater’s Highpoint neighborhood. The new building will not only provide medical services to the community, but will also provide training for careers in healthcare. The Evara Health Institute offers 5 degree programs with a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experience. Florida has a severe shortage of medical professionals, and the Institute addresses critical needs within both the local healthcare industry and the broader community. This endeavor underscores the pressing demand for skilled healthcare professionals, the challenges of accessing affordable training programs, and the imperative for innovative training approaches that promote patient-centered care and economic mobility.
