Novogradac & Company has developed two exciting new mapping tools that allow users to search and view on their desktops or in their web browers NMTC qualifying census tracts and related data.
The Desktop NMTC Mapping Tool using Google Earth allows users to download data files that contain qualified census tract information for every state and view them on their desktop.
Web-Based NMTC Mapping Tool using Google Maps allows users to enter a census tract number or an address to view in their web browser the census tract information for that location.
Both tools allow users to view census tracts that are shaded to indicate whether they are qualified under the NMTC Program and whether they meet one of three criteria to qualify as highly distressed. Click an icon in any census tract to view a pop-up balloon containing the census tract number, poverty rate, median income percentage, unemployment percentage, MSA, population, census tract median family income, MSA median familly income, and state median family income for that census tract. Use Google's navigation tools to zoom, scroll or pan to adjacent tracts on the maps and view related data for those areas.
To access these mapping tools, click the links above or go to www.newmarketscredits.com and click on Maps and Data Tables in the Resources tab.
