The Florida Community Loan Fund (FCLF) is a non-profit lending institution providing capital and expertise to make projects successful and help organizations improve lives and low-income communities throughout the Sunshine State. Established in 1994, FCLF operates statewide from a network of offices in Orlando, Jacksonville, Tampa, Sarasota, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami. FCLF financing has helped more than 130 organizations succeed in their projects, providing over 35,000 Floridians annually with housing or social services through 230+ lending transactions to projects totaling over $760 million. FCLF became Florida’s first certified statewide Community Development Financial Institution in 1996 and has been certified as a Community Development Entity since 2004.
We are seeking a Grants Coordinator to carry out the preparation, assembly and submission of major federal grant programs. This position will work closely with FCLF senior staff and departments to continue and improve on a 20 year track record of success in securing funding through CDFI Fund Programs, NMTCs, and other federal programs as well as assist in writing and securing grants from Foundations and Corporate donors.
The Grants Coordinator will prepare and compile all components of each grant submission, ensuring that the proposal is formatted, packaged, and submitted in accordance with granting agency requirement, including evaluating current applications for changes, developing timelines, coordinate deliverables, author initial drafts and other duties as assigned.
The Grants Coordinator will organize and maintain databases, will analyze previous submissions for improvements and assist in compliance and reporting requirements.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in related field, experience in grant writing a plus. Exceptional organization skills in managing resources and establishing priorities. Ability to multi-task under pressure and meet deadlines. Great communication skills and knowledge of computers and database management.
