Tampa Bay Community Development Corporation (TBCDC) is a HUD-approved non-profit organization whose mission is to promote homeownership opportunities to low and moderate income households the Tampa Bay area of Florida. Depending on where an applicant purchases a home, the annual income may not exceed 120% of the area median income according to household size. Established in 1982, TBCDC has assisted over 3,000 households in Pasco, Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties. TBCDC administers the HomeBuyers Club of Tampa Bay CDC, which provides guidance, information and support to families working on a plan to own a home, as well as post-purchase counseling and a foreclosure prevention program.

In December 2008, the Florida Community Loan Fund, along with other public and private funders, provided a loan of $1.7 million for Sunset Hills, a subdivision of 64 new affordable homes located in northeast Dade City. Funding from FCLF will aid pre-development costs and infrastructure improvement to the vacant land. Sunset Hills will consist of homes available for purchase to Pasco County families with incomes at less than 80% of MSA median. Homes will be built using the self-help model through Florida Home Partnership. This project will also be financed in part by Partners for the Common Good and Pasco County Government.
